Setting a new benchmark for Nordic public transport

With stringent access requirements, European public transport has long guided the global upgrade of mobility equipment. Capitalising on electrification, intelligence and connectivity, deep cultivation of overseas markets and alignment with local operational demands have become a core strategy for Chinese bus brands to lead global development.
The N15E pure electric city bus is a tailor-made flagship developed by Zhongtong Bus for the Nordic region, built to cope with high-latitude frigid climates, icy and complex road conditions and rigorous regulatory standards. It addresses key pain points for Nordic bus operators, including tough terrain, severe corrosion and insufficient human-centric design, standing as Zhongtong's flagship engineered to fully meet top-tier European specifications.
Range and reliability are critical performance metrics for Nordic long-distance passenger transport. Equipped with a high-performance battery pack of 622.75 kWh, the N15E achieves a range of up to 650 km under the SORT cycle, well suited to the long-duration, high-frequency operation patterns of Nordic urban public transport.
Designed with a low-entry floor, wide aisle and multiple doors, the bus comes with standard wheelchair accessibility features and a third-axle active steering system. It is fitted with advanced safety technology including AEB automatic emergency braking and a 360-degree surround-view monitoring system, fully complying with Nordic public transport accessibility regulations and adapting to winding, narrow mountain roads across the region.
To withstand extreme lows down to -20°C, the vehicle adopts an integrated liquid cooling and electric heating full-thermal-management system, paired with enhanced battery insulation and remote preheating technology. This curbs excessive range loss and resolves the longstanding industry challenges of difficult cold starts and sharp range degradation for new-energy vehicles in frigid zones. In addition, its integral cage-type high-strength body delivers outstanding impact and fatigue resistance and offers robust protection against corrosion from winter de-icing salt, extending the service life substantially and establishing a new benchmark for Nordic public transport.

Precision Customisation · Outstanding Strength
Revitalising urban mobility across the Nordic region

Boarding extremely strict technical, safety and environmental standards, the Nordic market is widely recognised as the proving ground and high ground of the global bus industry. Catering to local sub-segments including intercity commuting, cross-border tourism and group passenger transport, the concurrently launched H12Eplus premium pure electric tour coach delivers long range, superior safety, exceptional ride comfort and intelligent functions to support the green upgrade of local long-distance passenger services.
The H12Eplus features an aerodynamic lightweight body and next-generation highly protected batteries with flexible capacity options from 200 kWh to 600 kWh. Its battery carries an extended warranty of 10 years or 1,000,000 km, significantly cutting the total cost of ownership for passenger operators and matching the refined operational philosophy of Nordic transport companies.
In terms of safety, the model introduces a comprehensive safety architecture calibrated for icy and snowy conditions. Built on a high-tensile steel body with specialised rollover and crash protection structures, it is equipped with intelligent driving assistance systems including ACC adaptive cruise control, LKA lane keep assist and driver fatigue monitoring. Its electronic control logic is specially tuned for slippery winter surfaces. Together with air suspension and disc brakes, the vehicle is fully adapted to demanding long-haul mountain routes in the Nordic region.
Furthermore, the passenger cabin has obtained 5A health and noise reduction certification. It is fitted with zoned constant-temperature air conditioning and a low-temperature rapid heat pump heating system. Combined with a large luggage compartment, multilingual smart interaction and onboard charging ports throughout the cabin, it balances thermal comfort in cold climates with international usability, matching the positioning of the premium Nordic passenger transport market.

Notably, the Zhongtong H12Eplus was formally delivered to a Danish customer on-site at the show. This rapid transition from exhibition unit to commercial delivery marks another milestone of Zhongtong Bus's deep-rooted development in the Nordic market.
