On January 27 local time, the handover ceremony for 125 Higer buses was solemnly held in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso. Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, attended and presided over the ceremony, witnessing this milestone moment.

Including the first batch of 125 units delivered last August, Higer has now supplied a total of 250 buses to the Société de Transports Urbains de Ouagadougou (STUFO). This order is not only the largest single batch of bus order in Burkina Faso this year, but also another landmark large-scale order won by Suzhou Jinlong in the global market, following the 3,000-unit mega contract in Algeria.

The first 125 Higer buses delivered in August 2025 have been running smoothly locally for more than five months. Their distinctive red-and-green bodies travel along Ouagadougou’s main thoroughfares, with clear stop announcements creating a vibrant scene amid the busy city traffic. Higer buses have earned wide recognition from both the operator and local citizens thanks to their outstanding performance and reliable after-sales service.

The newly delivered model is the KLQ6126G diesel low-entry bus, custom-developed for short-distance urban travel in Burkina Faso. The 12-meter body delivers spacious passenger room, while the integral load-bearing body structure and air suspension system ensure a smooth ride. The bus is also fitted with a driver partition door, multi-camera monitoring system and in-vehicle LCD screens, greatly enhancing operational safety.

In his speech at the ceremony, Prime Minister Ouédraogo emphasized that efficient public transport is a key pillar of national sustainable development. He urged STUFO to conduct strict, preventive and professional maintenance on the new fleet to guarantee long-term stable service.

The 125 new buses will further strengthen Ouagadougou’s public transport network, significantly boosting capacity to meet the surging travel demand driven by rapid urban expansion.

With localized product solutions and full-life-cycle after-sales support, Higer Bus is helping Burkina Faso build a low-carbon, efficient modern public transport system. It injects strong "Chinese momentum" into the upgrading of local transportation infrastructure, and lets the "Smart Manufacturing in China" brand shine brightly across Africa.
