Weichai of Shandong Heavy Industry Debuts at CIIE

On 5 November 2025, the eighth China International Import Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Weichai—core member of Shandong Heavy Industry—attended the Expo for the eighth consecutive year, dazzling visitors with a powerhouse line-up of seven overseas brands and showcasing the fruitful results of the Group’s globally-open industrial chain.

Song Junji, Vice-Governor of Shandong Province, toured the Weichai booth and listened on-site to presentations of the company’s latest overseas products and solutions.

As the chain-master of Shandong’s high-end equipment cluster, Shandong Heavy Industry was also invited to the 2025 “Shandong & Multinational Corporations: Industrial-Ecosystem Partnership Dialogue”. Under the theme “Invest in Shandong, Win the Future Together”, the forum focused on industrial-ecosystem cooperation; the Group pledged to leverage its worldwide footprint to deepen collaboration in co-building innovation ecosystems, upstream-downstream synergy and joint technology breakthroughs.

Eight years of CIIE presence have witnessed Shandong Heavy Industry’s ever-advancing globalisation.

Sharing growth opportunities: KION Group (Germany), Hydraulics, Dematic (USA) and Baudouin (France) have successively built plants in China, making Shandong a “second home” for the Group’s overseas brands. The province’s vast market, efficient manufacturing and abundant resources have boosted these companies’ confidence, strengthened their cost-competitiveness and helped their products reach every corner of the world.

Driving industrial upgrading: Ferretti luxury yachts, Baudouin high-end marine engines, German LHY excavator hydraulic power-trains, Linde digital-logistics technology, Ballard hydrogen fuel-cell engines, Odysseus electric-control systems and Dematic virtual-reality logistics solutions all made a stunning appearance, highlighting how Weichai and its overseas partners are marching in lock-step to lead the industry’s green, intelligent transformation.
