450 Higer FENCER F1 Electric Buses Depart for South America Chile

On September 8, 2025, HIGER Bus celebrated a significant milestone in the South American market as 450 units of its premium zero-carbon sub-brand FENCER F1 electric buses set off for Chile. The departure ceremony was attended by H.E. Alirio Uribe, the Chilean Ambassador to China; Consul General Ge Yapei of Shanghai; and senior executives from HIGER, including CEO Huang Shuping, Deputy General Manager Leo Zheng, and Overseas General Manager Gary Jiang. Together, they witnessed this momentous occasion.

The 450 FENCER F1 electric buses are scheduled to be delivered to Chile by the end of December this year. Once operational, they will provide Chilean citizens with a zero-emission, quiet, and intelligent public transportation experience, making a substantial contribution to Chile’s national carbon neutrality strategy. The FENCER F1 electric bus made its global debut at the Busworld Expo in Belgium in October 2023. Recognized for its excellent performance and innovative design, it has garnered significant international attention and has been sold to multiple markets across Europe, South America, and the Middle East. To adapt to Chile’s diverse topography and climate conditions, this batch of FENCER F1 electric buses underwent several targeted optimizations in R&D and manufacturing: comprehensive 10,000-kilometer road tests significantly enhanced overall structural reliability; an advanced FMS communication system enables real-time energy consumption monitoring and improves operational energy efficiency; and material and process optimizations greatly increased corrosion resistance and service life. Additionally, the vehicle’s lighter weight further extends its driving range and energy efficiency.
