Recently, Yutong Bus held a "Yutong DMT & YEA Technology Launch" in Lahore, Pakistan, officially unveiling its new energy technologies DMT and YEA and showcasing its four main models: H9, H12, E9, and E12 PRO. At the event, Yutong also launched its upgraded service brand EnRoute+, and simultaneously signed a procurement agreement for 400 electric buses with its Pakistani partner WIL. This marks Pakistan's largest single new energy bus order, largest public transportation niche market order, and largest commercial bus order, achieving a historic "triple first."

17 Years of Commitment, Witnessing Mutual Benefits
Robin Shen, CEO of Yutong Bus Middle East, stated, "Since entering the Pakistani market in 2008, Yutong has delivered over 3,000 buses, including fuel, hybrid, and electric models, achieving a market share of over 70% in the high-end passenger transport segment. The signing of this 400-unit order is not only a result of our deep understanding of the local market but also a testament to our continuous technological innovation. Yutong will leverage its leading product technology and upgraded EnRoute+ service to support the sustainable development of Pakistan's public transportation."
Cao Ke, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Lahore, said, "China-Pakistan cooperation has a long history, with economic and trade exchanges benefiting the daily lives of people in both countries. Yutong's efforts in promoting the new energy transformation of Punjab's public transportation are commendable. We look forward to further deepening cooperation and jointly advancing Pakistan's green transportation development."
Mr. Bilal Akbar Khan, the Minister of Transport of Punjab Province, said at the launch, "The government is fully committed to the electrification of public transportation, which is an important measure to implement climate change policies. The transition to electric public transportation marks the beginning of a new era of sustainable transportation."
Innovative Technology Empowers
Paul Zhang, General Manager of Yutong Pakistan, highlighted the company's core technologies, DMT and YEA, which were developed through innovation and research. He also introduced four new energy main models—H9, H12, E9, and E12 PRO—tailored to the local climate and road conditions in Pakistan.
The H9 and H12 are equipped with Yutong's advanced DMT hybrid power system, which innovatively adopts a transmission-free design, integrating high-efficiency, high-power-density generators and motors in a coaxial layout. This reduces mechanical failure rates and enhances reliability, making them more suitable for complex urban road conditions such as short-distance low-speed travel, full-load start-ups, and frequent stop-and-go traffic. Compared to similar fuel-powered vehicles, Yutong's H-series models can reduce actual operating fuel consumption by 30% to 50%, while also offering flexible drive modes to meet diverse road requirements.
The E9 and E12 PRO feature a three-electric system with IP68 and IP6K9K protection ratings, providing dustproof and waterproof capabilities. They are equipped with an integrated liquid-cooled battery system and pure electric heating and cooling air conditioning, which are well-suited to the high summer temperatures in Lahore. The drive motors also have anti-mud and anti-condensation functions, ensuring normal operation even during urban flooding in the rainy season. The air curtain above the passenger door effectively prevents hot outside air from entering the cabin when passengers board and alight. The E-series is an ideal choice for areas with well-developed charging facilities, addressing Pakistan's challenges of high temperatures, heavy rainfall, traffic congestion, high fuel prices, and environmental protection, while providing passengers with a cool and comfortable travel experience.
EnRoute+: Comprehensive Service Support
Mr. Hou Qiweng, Yutong's Service Manager in Pakistan, also launched the upgraded service brand "EnRoute+" and reaffirmed Yutong's "seven worry-free service commitments" in Pakistan, providing a strong support for the smooth operation of this batch of 400 buses and future Yutong fleets.
In the future, Yutong will bring a cleaner, more comfortable, and more efficient travel experience to the people of Pakistan, supporting the green transformation and sustainable development of the country's public transportation.
