Recently, the Multi-Source Sensing & Computing Key Technologies for Intelligent Vehicles, a project which was jointly launched by King Long, Huaqiao University, Xiamen Unisound Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., won 2021 Xiamen Science & Technology Innovation First Prize.
In 2020, Chinese government officially rolled out guidelines for the development of intelligent vehicles, mapping out the future for the emerging industry.
As one of the pioneering players in China’s bus making industry, King Long has been making relentless efforts to push the boundaries of the bus making industry and has so far made some major technological breakthroughs in autonomous driving buses.
In 2017, King Long and Baidu, a leading search engine in China, jointly rolled out China’s first unit L4-level autonomous driving bus. One year later, the bus realized mass production and commercial operation.
In 2020, King Long independently developed 5G/LTE-V2X intelligent vehicle terminal, which can readily interact with traffic lights, intelligent bus stops, other vehicles and pedestrians. In 2021, King Long intelligent bus stops, intelligent passenger cabins, 5G OBU and other new technologies were put into application on the BRT routes in Xiamen.
