Golden Dragon Electric Buses & Coaches Start Operation in Denmark and Norway

Recently, 33 units Golden Dragon electric buses coated in orange color started operation in Esbjerg, Denmark. Measuring 12-meter in length, the bus has a power of 422 kW.h. It is equipped with a stainless steel body structure, which is highly adaptable to the saline environment due to the local weather and conditions. It has successfully cut its weight to the minimum, helping the vehicle achieve higher energy efficiency. Despite the long cold weather each year, Golden Dragon’s electric bus achieves high reliability and high maneuverability. “The bus is highly intelligent and boasts our most advanced technologies, including intelligent temperature control system”, according to Zeng Zhijun, the engineer of Golden Dragon Overseas Sales Company.

As one the pioneers in utilizing green energy, Denmark cut the percentage of electricity consumption from coal from 20% in 2017 to 13% in 2019. In addition, 50% of the country’s electricity consumption came from wind and solar power in 2019. By 2028, the country will be able to generate more electricity from green power that it consumes.

Golden Dragon attended 2017 Busworld Exhibition held in Belgium and displayed its electric bus, which attracted the attention from Danish bus operator. Inn 2019, Golden Dragon’s electric bus was put into trial operation in Denmark. Since then, the vehicle has been working smoothly and has so far accumulated a total mileage of over 100,000 km, delivering impressive performances and fully demonstrating its high quality standards.

Apart from Denmark, 11 units Golden Dragon electric travel coaches lately hit the roads in Norway. “Golden Dragon shares the same goal for energy conservation and environmental protection with us. It has truly innovative bus & coach products, which we believe, have huge market potential in our country”, said Mr. Lasse Andersen, Golden Dragon’s sales agent in Norway.
