CATL to Invest 13.5 Billion RMB to Build a New Production Base for Lithium-ion Batteries

On October 28, CATL’s new production base for its newly developed lithium-ion batteries officially started construction in Yichun Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi province. With a total investment of 13.5 billion RMB, the new production base is set to become the world leader in providing clean power solutions for vehicles.

Ren Zhufeng, Vice-Governor of Jiangxi province, Yan Yun, mayor of Yichun, Li Ping, vice president of CATL, together with a number of distinguished guests witnessed the historical moment. With the construction of its new production base in Yichun, CATL aims to further strengthen its cooperation with Jiangxi provincial government and promote the sound development of lithium-ion battery industry.
