On December 22, China on the Wheel—China Commercial Vehicles to Help Build A Well-off Society, organized by China Automobile News, was held in Beijing. As one of the major players in China’s bus industry, Golden Dragon fully shouldered its social responsibilities in 2020, playing a vital role in the country’s drive to reduce poverty and its efforts to revitalize its economy.
Faced with a host of challenges and difficulties, Golden Dragon delivered over 300 units ambulances to Hubei and other provinces earlier this year. In addition, its Hiace negative pressure ambulances were put in charge of transferring suspected cases. It has also developed health-check vehicles, CT scanning vehicles, anti-epidemic vehicles, PCR nucleic acid testing vehicles to help hospitals.
On February 18, Golden Dragon fully restored its production. On March 27, it held a live-streaming show to raise people’s awareness of safe travel. In August, a batch of Golden Dragon electric buses arrived in Changdu, Tibet for operation. In the same month, its CT health-check vehicles drove to Kengmenli Village, Fu’an, Ningde, providing health check to local villagers.
Golden Dragon 6-meter Star minibus is developed for urban communities, scenic spots, etc. Since its debut, it has made its way to Beijing, Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Shaanxi with its total number exceeding 1,500 units.
In 2020, Golden Dragon’s autonomous driving technologies enabled Star minibuses to work in more scenarios. Thus, it was put into operation in Hangzhou, Suzhou, Xiamen Erdos, etc., providing more convenient and more comfortable travel services for passengers.
At the recently held 2020 World Intelligent Vehicle Conference, Golden Dragon Star minibus won Excellent Autonomous Driving Solution Award. In October this year, it won a big award at 2020EB-PAC China New Energy Bus Performance Competition. With a speed of 50 km/h, the bus has accumulated a total mileage of over 100,000 km so far.
