www.chinabuses.org: Zhongtong Bus is the only bus builer which had signed with the Olympic Committee to provide buses and coaches for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Beijing Paralympic Games, and Zhongtong buses and coaches have traveled for 73,000 km to transport 230,000 people with 5,700 journeys. And the so called Olympic Number One, a Zhongtong pure electric bus, had served as command vehicle for Opening ceremony and Closing ceremony of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. 

The pure electric bus shows Zhongtong bus performance and ability to the world and it made Zhongtong bus to decide to continue to develop energy-saving and new energy buses. 

The Olympic Number One bus adopts Water Drip streamline modeling which inherits from Holand's BOVA Bus Company. And this is a milestone for Zhongtong Bus to introduce BOVA Bus technology and it means that Zhongtong Bus entering high-end buses and coaches production. 

Zhongtong Bus started to produce buses in 1971 and they produced three bus models this year, and the company is listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange Market in 2000. 

Zhongtong Bus signed cooperation agreement with BOVA in June 2001, and their first high-end luxurious coach rolled off production line soon. They have sent quite a few stuffs to BOVA Company and they were shocked by their development process, production, as well as power of the vehicles, safety performance and driving experiences.
