Luc Grants the Medal to ZHU, Guoqiang
Luc said as the first Asian bus enterprise attending BUSWORLD Kortrijk, King Long deserved the medal. There were two reasons to grant the medal:
First, King Long did a great job in sales, especially in overseas marketing. These years, sales of King Long buses were increasing fast. In 2010, total output and sales of King Long was 23561 units and 6600 units were exported valuing 170 million dollars. King Long has developed over 500 types of buses and provided 200 thousand buses for more than 8 thousand bus operators in 83 countries and regions, covering Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and South America.
Second, King Long was the bellwether of China bus enterprises to attend world-top bus exhibitions and expand EU high-end market. In 2005, King Long XMQ6900 and XMQ6127 passed WVTA, which was the first time among Asian bus enterprises and King Long attended BUSWORLD Kortrijk on behalf of China bus enterprises that year. King Long won “Coach Builder of the Year” in 2009. 8 types of King Long buses has passed WVTA right now. In 2011, King Long cooperated with ARRIVA Group to provide 174 units of city buses for Malta, which meant King Long was becoming the direct competitor of Benz, Volvo and Scania etc.
