Sun said “We have summarized three points for the success of Zhongtong Bus for 40 years: internationalization strategy; the cultivation of executive team and scientific management mechanism.”


In 2011, Zhongtong Bus has set up the sales growth objective of 30%, got the sales volume of 12000 units, striving for 15000 units; the sales revenue of new energy vehicles will take 10% of the total income, ranking top three in the industry; the overseas sales income reaches 30%.


“Zhongtong Bus focuses on the business of buses & coaches, developing both new energy products and international strategy, extending to tourist coach and school bus market.” Zhongtong Bus has further increased the development of the products for the overseas market and the related investment to launch proper models for Middle East and Russian markets. It only costs 20 days for a new model in the overseas market today and one and a half month in the past. There have been almost one hundred overseas sales staffs in the overseas offices and the products cover the market in about seventy countries.


We have the chance to start a new undertaking in domestic and international markets after the financial crisis. During the period of the twelfth five-year plan (2011-2015), the market demand on large and medium buses remains steady growing in China. The overseas markets in East Europe, South America, Oceania, Africa and Middle East are great potential for China bus builders, in particular, Africa and South America. The integration of urban and rural passenger transport and the development of city buses also offer the opportunity for the bus market.” Sun Qingmin showed.
