As for this tender, six domestic builders participate into it. It is known that Zhongtong Bus specially designed the prototype, based on the actual working conditions (bus stops, roads and vehicle speed) and following-up of this BRT project for over one year.
18-meter long, 2.5-meter wide, this model is outfitted with Weichai Power WP7NG270E40 engine (National Ⅳ) with 41 seats, capacity up to 201 passengers, maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Square tone, small round circle for shape design, Zhongtong BRT bus also is equipped with three-level steps for the flowing of passengers, double swing doors at front, middle and rear, in particular, 1.6-meter wide for middle door to facilitate passengers’ getting on or off, front, middle and rear disc brake on braking system, as well as retarder.
