CHTC Bonluck Bus Starts New Energy Bus Project

www.chinabuses.org: The foundation laying ceremony of CHTC Bonluck New Energy Bus Project was held on 16 April 2011. It is known that Bonluck Bus has been a part of China Hengtian Group Co., Ltd. (CHTC), a large-sized central enterprise since December 2010 and became the only luxury large bus builder in the central enterprise system, getting the qualification for the manufacturing of new energy buses in China.

This project refers to the construction of new energy research & development building, special plant for electric buses and comprehensive building for foreign experts and top talents and plan to be completed in two phases in five years. 200 million Yuan is invested on Phase One. New energy research & development building covers an area of 10000 square meters, mainly for R & D and design of new energy buses, relating to 12 professional labs and inspection labs. The special plant for electric buses is used to produce components of energy energy vehicles: motors, batteries and controllers). The comprehensive building for foreign experts and top talents covers an area of 20000 square meters. The annual production of 1000 new energy buses will be formed after the completing of Phase One, new annual sales revenue of 1.5 billion Yuan.
It plans to invest 500 million Yuan on Phase Two, focusing on the further extension of the production lines of electronic control and batteries, cultivation of industrial chain of development of electric vehicles, power cell, motor, electric control system, charging system and operation of electric vehicles and promoting of natural gas buses （CNG, LNG）as well as CHP vehicles. After completing of Phase Two, the annual output of 2000 new energy buses will be built, new annual revenue of 3 billion Yuan.
