The Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science & Technology and other two ministries have awarded 13 cities the pilot demonstration and promotion ones for energy-saving and new energy vehicles currently. There’s the relevant policy that confirms the government will encourage enterprises to produce, research and develop energy-saving and new energy vehicles by the mode of customers allowance and market extension. The city bus which is more than 10 meters is the greatest beneficiary in allowance this time. The highest allowance of HEV bus reaches RMB420,000 and the pure electric vehicle and fuel battery bus reach RMB500,000 and RMB600,000 respectively. As a result, every main domestic coach builder pursues the dream of research and development for new energy bus.

 

 

“Attention on Energy Crisis, Care for Our Future”. Early in 2008, Xiamen Golden Dragon began to research and develop HEV coach under the guide of “energy conservation and pollution reduction”. Energy Conservation & Environment Protection: fuel consumption can save 20%-35%

 

Golden Dragon XML6125HEV is the most advanced 12-meter HEV coach with low entrance in China till now. It has the two advantages of the advanced American frequency conversion technology and Golden Dragon excellent coach building technology. In the aspect of power system: a new “Golden Dragon Bus Hyibrid System III” is installed on XML6125HEV, this system having good commonality is made up of an advanced diesel engine and an A/C motor. And it becomes the optional power assembly for every Golden Dragon city buses from 10 to 12 meters. Moreover, this model is equipped with super capacitance and excellent power delivery system, and it can decide how to prepare electric power and diesel power according to the vehicle driving status, then improve the driving performance.

Meanwhile, this vehicle has good fuel economy, the engine works stably all the time after adding the electromotor, the combustion efficiency is greatly improved , as a result, the fuel consumption of the complete vehicle can save 20%-35% comparing with the traditional one. It has the features of low oil consumption and discharge, quiet and long-lived, excellent braking performance and pickup, simple construction and easy to drive and maintain. Low Floorboard Technology: improve the comfort and stability of the vehicle

 

Low floorboard technology introduction of traffic vehicles is the inevitable trend of both technology R&D and market development. XML6125HEV series model which are installed GHS III has took the lead in making the low floorboard.

 

The chief feature of low floorboard bus chassis is “low”. The lowest gap of the chassis is 153mm, measured from the floor. When the bus arrives at the station, the total height can be reduced and laterally tilted, making the height of floor in the same level of the road, so the handicapped can get on and off in their wheelchairs freely. This solve the difficulty of bus taking for handicapped. During driving, the height can be extended to 80mm so the performance is improved. While driving on the road in bad condition, the vehicle can go on extending 80mm and keeps driving. The chassis height is controlled by ECAS height automatically control system made by WABCO company. This performs the self-adjusting function of the floorboard.

 

To keep the low and stable status from the entrance to the rear end, and to improve the city bus riding comfort, this chassis adopts the head door-type front axle, door-type rear axle and six air bad spring suspension from Germany ZF company, as a result, problems of floorboard height reducing and steps in the bus are solved and the comfort while sitting is improved.

 

Besides, the crossbeam vehicle structure is used to fit with the head door-type front axle, door-type rear axle, this helps perform the “low” requirement for the low floorboard better. This frame and body are involved in the load-supporting, while supporting the load, the great will helps the small, and keeps the complete vehicle in the state of stability and balance. Meanwhile, this frame structure greatly lightens the vehicle based on constant intensity and reduces the consumption of battery energy to a certain extent.
