China’s two parliamentary sessions -- the Second Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC, the top legislature) and the Second Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC, the top advisory body) – started on March 5 and March 3, respectively. During a panel discussion, President HU Jintao made an important speech about development of vehicles powered by new energy. Moreover, in Premier WEN Jiabao’s government work report, the “vehicle” has been mentioned several times, which has sent us a clear message that the government is attaching unprecedented importance to the stable and sustainable development of China’s auto industry.
