Dongfeng Motor Plans New Lab

Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Corp and American semiconductor manufacturer Freescale Semiconductor Inc plan to establish a joint laboratory in China at the end of this month to develop key automotive electronics. The laboratory will be located in the central China city of Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province.

According Dongfeng reports that the lab will focus on developing chassis and safety technologies, especially for in-car information and entertainment systems, body control systems, smart keyless entry systems, tire pressure monitoring systems, engine control units, automatic transmission control units and multifunctional instrument displays.
