Golden Dragon Bus Adoption of Cathode Electrophoresis Makes the Top Brand in Coating Industry

Since the first Cathode Electrophoresis for complete large-sized coach rolled off the line, there are more than 1,000 units of electro-coating primer vehicles launched into the market. Most of the users show great interest in corrosion and rust resistance effect brought from this new technology and process, they hope to further know about this technology.
In early 2007, Golden Dragon kicked off the second phase of its large-sized coach manufacturing facility project at Haicang, Xiamen to build China’s first complete vehicle body pretreatment and cathode electrophoresis primer production line for large-sized coaches.
This production line incorporates advanced complete vehicles cathode electrophoresis technology. The framework of the entire vehicle is subject to treatment in more than 10 processes, including, in turn, pretreatment, degreasing, rinsing, surface adjustment, phosphatization, rinsing, pure rinsing, electro-coating and super filter cleaning. These processes significantly improve the paint membrane adhesion and corrosion resistance of complete vehicles, bringing the products up to quality standards and making complete vehicles resistant to corrosion for more than 10 years. However, no other domestic coach builders has introduced the electrophoresis process; as a result, rusting and dripping of yellow water would occur on certain parts of the coaches in two or three years.
A mechanical automatic transmission system is used for this production line, and meticulous process arrangements ensure productivity and efficient logistics operations. Here at Golden Dragon, one large or medium-sized coach is electrophoresed every 12.5 minutes, and the annual production capacity exceeds 10,000 units. The adoption of the electrophoresis process has not only significantly improved the corrosion resistance of our coaches, but also boosted our productivity and further enhanced the market competitiveness of our coach products.
The commence of the second phase of the large-sized coach building facility project at Haicang by Golden Dragon marks the beginning of the upgrading of the coating process of China’s large-sized coach industry to the comparable standard of medium-end sedan cars and to the highest international standards for coach building. After the project is completed, the standard of Golden Dragon’s coating process will be fundamentally improved and reach new highs, the corrosion and rust resistance of the bodies of Golden Dragon coaches will be on par with the standard of sedan cars, and the coating quality of large-sized Golden Dragon coaches will be of the highest standard in China and up to world-class standards. Golden Dragon is on the way to becoming China’s most advanced builder of large-sized coaches in terms of coating process standard.
Today, as coaches are becoming increasing homogenous, competition within this industry is heating up.
