Electric Autos to Help Clean Air in Olympic Village

The tail gas exhaust from vehicles should be maintained at zero-level within a 3.8 km radius of the core Olympic area during the Games. Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology, said the Olympic village and some of the venues are all the included core areas to implement zero gas exhaust.

Over 500 motor vehicles, such as cars and trucks, used in the core areas are electric ones. Over 4,000 buses using electricity and natural gas also run during the Games. All of these green autos save energy and reduce waste in a bid to keep the Olympic village clean and environmentally friendly.
