JAC Invests 590 Millions to Produce Light Vehicles

Currently, Anhui JAC Coaches Co., Ltd started its light goods vehicles project in Hefei(Capital of Anhui Province) Baohe Industry District, which reflects JAC has marched into light vehicles market finally.
It is known that the project includs vehicle body pressing, jointing, finishing, auto assembly and etc with annual capacity of 30 thousands units, occupying 267mu, with total investment of 590 millions Yuan, which will begin to build at the end of August 2008 and will be finished in June 2009.
Some relevant principal of JAC Company says why they march into light vehicles market is because of considering for perfect its products line. JAC now has large and medium coach product line, light truck, medium and heavy truck, adding light vehicle product line, is going to be the most perfect commercial vehicle manufacturers in the country.
According to statistics, light vehicles had sales volume 117.5 thousand units in the first half this year, with an increase of 6% compared with last year, which almost has the lowest development rate in all subdivision markerts. And only three manufacturers Nanjing IVECO, Jiangling Quanshung and Foton Auto realized an increase. But there are still potential markets as suburban pessenger transport market and etc.
