New Shenglong Factory Operational

Shanghai bus manufacturer Shenlong opened a new factory on May 24th 2008, increasing the capacity of Shenlong bus and coach, and keeping up with the quick growth of this manufacturer.
Construction of the new factory was started in 2006. On a surface of 200,000 m2 it features technical development facilities, an assembly plant, and facilities for sales, service and training. The production capacity of Shenlong was increased to 10,000 vehicles per year, according to the company.
Shenlong was founded in September 2005 with 2361 vehicles sales volume, equivalent to 800 million RMB. It ranked in the top 20 of sales volume and top 12 of sales revenue in 2007. Shenlong bus and coach export reached 500 vehicles in 2007, with a value of 200 million RMB, ranking it on the 8th position in the Chinese bus industry.
