China’s Exported 61,700 Units Buses & Coaches in 2022

According to the statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China exported 7,220 units buses & coaches in December, up by 25.76% year on year and up by 9.29% month on month. In the whole year of 2022, China’s export volume of buses & coaches grew by 23.61%, reaching 61,700 units. From Table 1, it is clearly seen that the percentage of China’s bus export in December, 2022 increased by 3.31 percentage points compared with the same period in 2021. In the whole year of 2022, the percentage of China’s bus export went up by 5.22 percentage points on the basis of 2021.

The increasing share of China’s bus exports in its overall bus sales can be attributed to the following reasons. First and foremost, China’s bus makers, with a host of advanced and more environmentally friendly technologies, have been constantly strengthening its overall competitiveness in the global market. Secondly, bus makers in China have been increasing their direct investments and have launched KD projects in the global market. Thirdly, great efforts have been made by Chinese bus makers to build their brand image and promote their products in the international market.
