China Sold 4,000 Units New Energy Buses in July,2022

Summarize:According to the latest statistics released by China Automobile Dealer Association (CADA), a total number of 3,930 units new energy buses obtained license plates in July, up by 87% year on year and down by -8% month on month. More specifically, 3,629 units electric buses (92.3%), 228 units hydrogen fuel cell buses (5.80%) and 73 units plug-in hybrid buses (1.86%) obtained their license plates. According to their different sizes, 1,829 units large-sized buses (46.54%), 1,541 units medium-sized buses (39.21%) and 560 units light buses (14.25%) obtained their license plates in July.

In July, the major players in the new energy bus market were Yutong (668 units, accounting for 17.0% of the total sales volume, 1st place), King Long (514 units, accounting for 13.08% of the total, 2nd place), Higer (301 units, accounting for 7.66% of the total, 4th place), CRRC Electric (296 units, accounting for 7.53% of the total, 5th place), Golden Dragon (283 units, accounting for 7.20% of the total, 6th place), Zhuhai Guangtong (267 units, accounting for 6.79% of the total, 7th place), BAIC Foton (216 units, accounting for 5.50% of the total, 8th place), Zhongtong (101 units, accounting for 2.57% of the total, 9th place), Ankai (69 units, accounting for 1.76% of the total, 14th place) and BYD (26 units, accounting for 0.66% of the total, 17th place).

From January to July this year, a total number of 19,730 units new energy buses obtained license plates, up by 2% year on year. More specifically, 18,008 units electric buses (91.27%), 1,176 units plug-in hybrid buses (5.96%) and 546 units hydrogen fuel cell buses (2.77%) obtained their license plates. For the detailed information of the monthly sales of new energy buses from January to July in the past five years, please refer to Table 2 below.

According to their different sizes, 9,243 units large-sized buses (46.85%), 6,844 units medium-sized buses (34.69%) and 3,643 units light buses (18.46%) obtained their license plates from January to July.

In the same period, the top ten players in the new energy bus market were Yutong (3,747 units, down by 10% year on year), BYD (1,951 units, up by 28% year on year), CRRC Electric (1,699 units, down by 1% year on year), Zhongtong (1,268 units, down by 28% year on year), Higer (1,189 units, up by 42% year on year), Foton AUV (1,144 units, up by 122% year on year), Golden Dragon (1,110 units, up by 127% year on year), King Long (1,089 units, down by 2% year on year), Zhuhai Guangtong (756 units, up by 24.0% year on year), Ankai (728 units, up by 14.0% year on year)
