On October 8, Yutong officially released a business report, revealing that it produced 3,250 units buses in September, down by 20.79% year on year and sold 2,751 units in the same month, down by 30.14% year on year. More specifically, the bus maker produced 973 units large-sized buses, down by 32.01% year on year and sold 902 units, down by 34.21%; it produced 1,440 units medium-sized buses, down by 16.57% year on year and sold 1,222 units, down by 26.47% year on year; it sold 837 units light buses and sold 627 units, down by 11.52% and 30.72% year on year respectively.
Also in September, Yutong’s new fist product, E6S, a mini-bus with low-floor access, officially made its debut. The new bus is chiefly targeted at the passenger transportation in and between communities, in industrial parks, on campuses, etc.
From September 15 to 27, the 14th National Games of China was held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. 439 units Yutong buses, accounting for more than half of the entire bus fleet, worked smoothly to provide vital transportation services for such a high-profile event.
On September 24, the list of 2021 China’s Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises was released. Yutong once again ranked the first place, fully demonstrating its formidable strengths.
On September 26, 2021 World Internet Conference was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. Li Gaopeng, the head of Yutong New Energy Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech on Smart and Intelligent Public Transport Empowered by 5G.
On September 27, 2021 Urban Public Transport (China) Forum was held in Zhengzhou, Henan province. Yutong, together with a number of bus operators, media outlets and research institutions issued a Manifesto of Public Transport in the New Era, aiming to help cities further improve the overall efficiency of their public transport networks and provide greener and more efficient travel services for passengers.
From January to September this year, Yutong’s production and sales volume reached 30,358 units and 29,964 units respectively, up by 12.99% and 11.64% year on year. More specifically, it produced 11,406 units large-sized buses and sold 11,364 units, realizing a growth rate of over 6% for both; it produced 12,296 units medium-sized buses and sold 12,102 units, up by 13.23% and 10.25% year on year respectively; it produced 6,656 units light buses and sold 6,489 units, up by 25.54% and 24.79% year on year respectively.
