79 Fuel Cell Buses Started Operation in Mainland China in October

Summarize:According to the latest statistics from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), 79 fuel cell buses obtained licenses and started operation in mainland China in October this year. From January to October this year, 1,127 units fuel cell buses obtained licenses and made their way on the road.

Shanghai-based Sunlong sold 200 units fuel cell buses in the first ten months,, accounting for 17.78% of the industry’s total sales volume.

Foshan-based Feichi sold 196 units fuel cell buses, accounting for 17.42% of the industry’s total sales volume.

Xiamen-based Golden Dragon’s sales volume of fuel cell buses stood at 188 units in the first ten months this year, accounting for 16.53% of the industry’s total sales volume.

Dongfeng came the fourth place with its sales volume of fuel cell buses reaching 102 units, which account for 9.06% of the industry’s total sales volume.

Geely ranked the fifth place with its sales volume of fuel cell buses reaching 100 units, which account for 8.89% of the industry’s total sales volume.

The combined sales volume of the top five players in the fuel cell bus industry accounted for 69.68% of the industry’s total sales volume in the first ten months. Another 12 bus makers also saw their fuel cell buses obtain licenses, but their combined sales volume only made up 30.32% of the total sales volume of the industry.

In the first quarter this year, 579 units fuel cell buses obtained licenses. In the second and third quarters, the number stood at 254 units and 215 units respectively.
