Their monthly sales volume in May stood at 7,600 units, 5,200 units, 3,900 units, 3,600 units, 3,000 units, 2,600 units, 1,900 units, 1,100 units, 900 units, and 800 units respectively. The combined sales volume of the top ten players in May reached 30,600 units, accounting for 83.38% of the total bus sales in China.
From January to May, China’s bus sales volume stood at 138,300 units, down by 14.19% year on year. More specifically, the country’s sales volume of large-, medium-sized and light buses reached 17,100 units, 12,100 units, and 109,100 units, down by 35.30%, 40.43% and 4.64% year on year respectively.
In the first five months, the top ten players in China’s bus market are JMC, SAIC Maxus, BAIC Foton, Zhengzhou Yutong, Baoding Changan, Nanjing Iveco, KingLong, Golden Dragon, Zhongtong and Changan. Their sales volume from January to May this year stood at 31,000 units, 16,000 units, 15,400 units, 11,500 units, 10,000 units, 9,000 units, 8,300 units, 5,600 units, 4,400 units, and 3,500 units respectively. The combined sales volume of the top ten players in this period reached 114,700 units, accounting for 82.94% of the total bus sales in China.
In the overseas market, China delivered 3,400 units buses to customers abroad in May, down by 35.56% month on month and down by 35.88% year on year. More specifically, the country exported 2,400 units large-sized buses, up by 54.17% month on month and up by 9.80% year on year; it exported 200 units medium-sized buses, down by 70.17% month on month and down by 66.02% year on year; it exported 800 units light buses, down by 73.66% month on month and down by 68.24% year on year.
From January to May, China’s export volume of buses stood at 20,300 units, down by 12.95% year on year. More specifically, the country exported 6,700 units large-sized buses, down by 8.13% year on year; it exported 1,500 units medium-sized buses, down by 15.96% year on year; it exported 12,100 units light buses, down by 15.03% year on year.
Also from January to May, the sales volume of buses in East China stood at 42,600 units, down by 0.08% year on year; in Central South China 23,500 units, down by 15.55% year on year; in North China 14,300 units, down by 21.38% year on year; in Southwest China 11,600 units, down by 21.59% year on year; in Northwest China 7,300 units, down by 30.36% year on year; and in Northeast China 3,900 units, down by 50.53% year on year.
