www.chinabuses.org: According to sources, China sold 6,157 units of complete medium buses, down by 19.25% against the previous month and down by 12.06% against the same period last year. The sales volume of medium buses accounted for 12.64% of the overall sales of the bus industry, slightly higher than 10.45% registered in Apr.
In May, the complete medium buses sold 4,811 units, up by 15.45% against Apr. and down by 9.65% against May last year. The top five players are Zhengzhou Yutong, Higer, Xiamen King Long, Henan Shaolin and Xiamen Golden Dragon. The five companies combined sold 3,466 units of medium buses, accounting for 72.04% of the sector's total.

Among the top five, only Zhengzhou Yutong witnessed a slight downward movement, down by 0.74% against the previous month and down by 17.40% against May last year. The other four companies all kept growing as compared with Apr. this year and May last year. Also worth mentioning is that Henan Shaolin sold 305 units of vehicles, up by 201.98% against Apr. and 211.22% against May last year.
In May, the sales volume of incomplete medium buses stood at 1,346 units, up by 35.14% against Apr. this year and down by 19.69% against May last year. The top five winner are Anhui Jianghuai, Dongfeng Automobile, FAW Group, Sichuan Hyundai and Nanjing Iveco. The five companies took up the whole market of incomplete medium buses in May.
