www.chinabuses.org: Part One: Energy-saving and emission reduction policy promote sales of LNG buses The Ministry of Transport released "2012 Transport energy-saving and emission reduction funds program", and LNG buses are becoming the first priority on the policy. LNG buses won markets for its low fuel consumption and low operation costs. Some LNG buses started to run in Fujian Transport Company and the fuel costs were reduced largely. Some 126 Yuan can be saved per 100 km, and 100,000 Yuan can be saved per bus per year, 42% lower than before. PM2.5 will be monitered compulsively according to the new AAQS(ambient air quality standard). And vehicle emissions contribute 38% of the total PM2.5 complex. Whereas, LNG buses can reduce emission 97% CO emission, 72% hydrocarbon, 80% oxynitride, 24% CO2, 90% sulfur dioxide and 100% benzene, lean and dust, that is 90% lower than diesel engine buses.
