Part One: Analysis of Above 6-meter CNG Buses’ Sales in Jan. - Feb. 2012
According to the industry statistic from www.chinabuses.com, it is shown that in Jan. - Feb. 2012, it sells 1,114 units of the above 6-meter CNG buses in China, which is 483 units more than that of in 2011( 631 units). The growth rate of the sales of the CNG buses is 76.5%, which is much higher than the growth rate of the overall bus market sales. The sales volume of the CNG buses is one of the important factors to contribute the bus market sales volume in Jan. - Feb. 2012.
Among the total bus sales volume data, the sales volume of the large, medium and small buses are respectively 507 units,401 units and 206 units. But the large, medium and small CNG buses respectively account for 45.5%,36.0% and 18.49% of the total bus sales volume.

In Jan. - Feb. 2012, the growth rate of the large CNG buses is the biggest one. The second one is the medium CNG buses. The last one is the small CNG buses. So, the sales of the large CNG buses is the main factor to contribute to the growing sales volume of the CNG bus sales in the first two month in 2012.

From above data, it is seen that
1.In Jan. - Feb. 2012, Yutong Bus accounts for the biggest market share in the CNG bus market. Its year-on-year growth rate is 1.9%, which shows its marketing strategy in CNG bus market.
The total market share of the top eleven mainstream bus builders in the CNG bus market is 90.9%, which increases by 0.9% compared to the first two months of 2011. It shows that the mainstream bus builders are now strengthening the action of the monopoly in the CNG bus market.
Among the top eleven mainstream bus builders, five of their market shares are up, but the other six of their market shares are down.
In the sales of the CNG bus market, the top five mainstream bus builders are almost in southeast area of China while Yutong Bus is in the central area. Most of the bus builders are in Sichun area, which shows that the natural gas resource in Sichun is rich. The bus builders there can make use of this advantage and also due to this reason, Sichun attracts the bus builders to come here.
