a. Strong Growth of Yutong Bus
In July, the sales of 33 China bus builders increase in July over the same period of last year. Yutong Bus gets the sales volume of 4462 units, year-on-year growth of 47.80%, accounting for 37.26% of the total growing units of the bus industry. Other bus builders with the increasing sales of more than 300 units are only Golden Dragon Bus (400 units more, y/y growth of 23.04%), Ankai Bus (362 units more, y/y growth of 141.41%) and King Long Bus (300 units more, y/y growth of 14.75%).
b. Continuous Strong Growth Trend of City Buses
In July, 6183 units city buses have been sold, year-on-year growth of 42.89%. It is the second month when the sales rate is higher than 40% after 40.70% in June.
In Jan.-July, the total sales volume of city buses is 34921 units, year-on-year growth of 12.99%, leading to the growth of the bus market. As the mainstream bus builders, the sales volume of Yutong, King Long, Higer and Golden Dragon comes to 12282 units, year-on-year growth of 34.04%, further higher than the average growth rate of the industry. By far, the accumulated sales volume of large sized buses is 17765 units, year-on-year growth of 23.83%.
c. Slight Improving of the Sales of Medium and Light Buses
In first half of this year, it remains gloomy in medium and light bus market. In July, the sales volume of large buses is 6799 units, y/y growth of 23.53%, of medium buses is 6802 units, y/y growth of 32.31% and of light buses is 6713 units, y/y growth of 15.82%. In Jan.-July, large buses: 40536 units, y/y growth of 13.98%; medium buses: 39847 units, y/y growth of 5.05%; light buses: 43843 units, y/y growth of 0.65%.
