c. As the leader in China bus industry, Yutong Bus large buses increased by 47.8%, while the figure in the bus industry was down 27.5%. Sales volumes of large buses were increasing, all surpassing sales of bus industry, fully showing Yutong Bus’s ability.

d. They sold 1,154 11-12m large buses, which is also the biggest increase scale, showing its absolute leadership among KingLong, Higer, and Golden Dragen Bus.

It can be seen that sales volumes of coaches increased by 110.55% in Jan. 2010, bigger than that of overall bus industry. In respect of lengths, apart from 9-10m all lengths increased. And the biggest increments is 11-12m, then it comes 5-6m and 8-9m.

2. Yutong coaches

It can be seen from above that:

a. Sales of Yutong coaches increased by 131.1%, nearly 21 er cent more than the average in the bus industry, adding that the average increments of sales in Jan was 97.7%, showing that increment of Yutong Bus was largely due to the coaches.

b. After analysis of coaches of all lengths, we find that sales of all lengths increased. Sales of super large buses increased by 113.3%, sales of 11-12m increased by 254.4% which is also the biggest increment, 10-11m increased by 129.6%, and 9-10 by 265.8%.

Sales of city buses increased by 64.33% in Jan. 2010, ending the lasting decreasing sales volumes in the last twelve months. In respect of lengths, sales of three lengths decreased, while sales of six lengths increased. And the biggest increment is that of 5-6m, then it comes 11-12m and 7-8m. and the biggest decreasing length is that of super large buses, then it comes 10-11m and 9-10m.

2. Yutong city buses

It can be seen from above that:

a. Sales volumes of city buses increased by 11.7%, while the increment in the bus industry was 64.33%, that is to say ascensional range of Yutong city buses in Jan. was 53 per cent than bus industry; while it was smaller than that of coaches and overall growth, and this is good for its profiting increase.

b. Nine 11-12m Yutong city buses were less, down 40.9%, than last year, and this is much lower than the increases in bus industry, up 154.9%. And the growth in 8-9m and 7-8m were rather high, showing that their sales growth of city buses is largely due to the medium city buses.

c. Sales volumes of 9-10m city buses decreased, down up to 63.4%, 54% bigger than that of the average bus industry. However, the decrease is not big enough to change the overall situation.

Part 4 Sales growth analysis of Sleeper bus in all lengths in Jan. 2010 over 2009

1. Sales growth of sleeper bus in all lengths

It can be seen from above that:

Compared with that of Jan. 2009, sales of sleeper buses increased in Jan. 2010, up 132.4% ending decreasing trends for more than twelve months. And the biggest increasing lengths is 11-12m, and sleeper buses shorter than 10m has already quit from the markets.

2. Yutong sleeper buses

It can be seen from above that:

Yutong sleeper bus is dominating in bus industry. Sales volumes in bus industry were 695 units, while Yutong sold 348 sleeper buses, up 132%, taking 50.07% of bus industry.

a. Yutong sleeper bus took 50.50% in Jan. 2009, and the figure is 50.07% in Jan. 2010, showing that its market share is decreasing, but it cannot shake its dominance in bus markets.

b. Yutong sleeper buses are mainly 11-12m, and there were eight super large buses, the same as last year. And medium sleeper buses have already quit from sleeper bus market.
