FAW,China South Industries Switch Leaders

www.chinabuses.org: On August 2, FAW announced that Xu Liuping was appointed the chairman and party secretary of China First Automobile Group Corporation. Xu Ping, the former chairman and secretary of the party committee at China FAW Group, was appointed as chairman and secretary of the party committee at China South Industries Group Corp.

Auto industry insiders said the head exchange between the two large groups follows a merging trend. The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) is likely to bring a revolution about in China's auto industry by merging China FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Group and Changan Automobile Group.
