Golden Dragon Buses Serve at 1st Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, China’s first Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo was held in Dunhuang International Exhibition Center. Jointly organized by Gansu Provincial Government, China’s Ministry of Culture, State Administration of Press Publication, Radio, Film and Television, China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the exhibition was themed with “Pushing Cultural Exchange, Seek Mutual Development”. According to the organizing committee of this year’s exhibition, 95 foreign delegations from 85 countries and five international and regional organizations, attended the exhibition.

During the exhibition, a total number of 20 units Golden Dragon buses were put into service to act as the carriers for all the distinguished guests and visitors from all over the world. Earlier this year, the organizing committee of China’s first Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo initiated the selection process for the carriers needed for the exhibition. After several rounds of intense competition, Golden Dragon stood out among all its rivals and won the heart of the organizing committee.
20 units Golden Dragon buses in service for Dunhuang International Cultural Expo
All the vehicles serving at the exhibition are Golden Dragon XML6122, which are operated by Gansu Hongyuan Travel Investment Co., Ltd. Considering the special weather conditions and geographic locations in Dunhuang area, the vehicle has equipped with dirt-proof oil tank, insulated metal oil pipes and braking systems. A team comprised of five professional technicians from Golden Dragon was also sent to the exhibition to ensure the smooth operation of the bus fleet. Since September 17, the team has been busy doing all the trouble-shooting and checking work, from vehicles’ appearance, interior, seats to every spare part. On September 19, the bus fleet went through another stringent test given by the armed police for security check and anti-explosion investigation.

After accomplishing their transportation tasks at the exhibition, all the 20 units Golden Dragon buses will be put into operation in various scenic spots in Dunhuang. In 2015, Gansu Hongyuan Travel Investment Co., Ltd. introduced its first batch of Golden Dragon XML6122 buses for tourist transportation. The addition of the bus operator’s Golden Dragon bus fleet will further strengthen its transportation capacity and enhance its service standards.
