Beijing to Build the Largest New Energy Auto R&D Center

www.chinabuses.org: By 2020, the core function of Beijing National Science and Technology Innovation Center will further strengthen and become a global science and technology innovation center. In terms of the new energy automotive innovation layout, Beijing will be built as the new energy automotive R & D, application center and reach the international leading level.
On September 11th, composed by the Ministry of science and technology, the national development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Municipal People's Government in conjunction with the relevant departments, ‘Overall project of Beijing to strengthen the national scientific and technological innovation center construction’ has been formally issued.
According to the project, during the period of ‘13th Five-Year’, Beijing will implement five people's livelihood science and technology action including the capital blue sky, ecological environment sustainable improvement, food safety and quality assurance, major diseases scientific and technological research, city construction and fine management, and promote the achievement of science and technology innovation sharing. By 2020, Beijing will initially build a collaborative innovation community around Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. Beijing will serve ‘Belt and Road Initiative’, Beijing Tianjin Hebei collaborative development, the Yangtze River economic belt and other major national strategy all-round.
According to the plan, Beijing will continue to improve the new energy automobile promotion policy, create the ecological environment of new energy vehicles application, and create a model city of new energy vehicles. In the new energy automotive innovation layout, Beijing will build the largest R&D and application center of new energy vehicles by 2020, overall reach the international advanced level. On the development of pure electric vehicles, the project proposed to carry out the key common technology research and development of pure electric vehicles, and strengthen the subsidy policy of new energy vehicles.
Beijing will employ the Nobel prize winners, chief scientists and the world-class engineers and top talent teams from the world, implement policies more flexibly and attract venture investment enterprises to participate in the activities of scientific and technological achievements transformation in Beijing.
