From Table 1 and Table 2, it can be clearly seen that the growth of Yutong’s production and sales volume of medium-sized buses far outpaced that of other types of buses made by the company. Insiders reveal that three main reasons have contributed to the robust growth of medium-sized buses. First, the continued expansion of China’s bullet train networks has greatly dampened the demands for large-sized buses. However, the demand for medium-sized buses & coaches, which require relatively low operating costs and boast strong adaptability, remained strong. Second, bus operators, particularly those in the developed regions in China, have become increasingly particular about the travel comforts. Buses with more spacious passenger room and more comfortable seats are gaining rising popularity. Thus, Yutong T7, which represents the high-end medium-sized coach in China, has immediately won the public recognition after its debut. Third, many places across China hosted a number of high-profile international competitions and conferences in recent years. All these events generated huge demands for more flexible and more comfortable medium-sized buses and coaches. Yutong T7, for example, has been widely used in a number of activities for high-end business reception.

At G20 Summit held in Hangzhou recently, over 100 units Yutong T7 were put into service for all those distinguished guests from all over the world. Their smooth operation has already won universal praises from all participants. Yutong T7 once again fully demonstrates China’s competitive bus manufacturing technologies to the whole world.
