www.chinabuses.org: On July 26, Wang Anshun, the mayor of Beijing and Party Secretary of Lhasa started series of accurate supporting items such as laid the foundation stone of Beijing and Tibet Exchange Center, delivered 35 FOTON AUV new energy buses and 4 FOTON medical vehicles to Lhasa side.

It is known that under the support of Lhasa city government, the Lhasa Public Transportation Group Corporation has been officially renamed Lhasa Transportation Industry Group Co. Ltd. They have 487 buses running 34 operating routes including 149 new energy buses.

“I have lived in Lhasa for over 20 years and witnessed the development of Lhasa public transportation industry. Especially on bus travelling, we can also take the new energy bus. In the past, the buses were heavy noisy and pollution.” The head of China Communication Liu Chunhui said.
“Lhasa is located in Tibetan Plateau, so we must choose different buses from the other regions to meet our special requirements of bus brand and configuration. For example, the bus lengths focus on 8.5m, 10m, 10.5m and 12m, while the engine power employs Yuchai hybrid system and so on.
