Zhongtong Secures Orders from Tonghua and Xianning for Over 100 Units 8-meter Electric Buses

www.chinabuses.org: On July 8, Zhongtong broke the news that it successfully won the bid for providing over 100 units 8-meter electric buses to its customers in Tonghua, Jilin Province and Xianning, Hubei Province.
Despite the reduction of governments’ subsidies in 2016, Zhongtong’s 8-10 meters electric buses have been gaining rising popularity in China. LCK6809EVG, an 8-meter electric bus, in particular, have won the hearts of many bus operators. In the first six months this year, the total sales volume of LCK6809EVG reached over 5,000 units, ranking the first among its counterparts.
Equipped with a monocoque body structure and a high rigidity steel frame, LCK6809EVG has cut its body weight to a minimum. In addition, it has a special electric chassis, a lithium iron phosphate battery system and low-speed & big torque direct-driven permanent magnet synchronous motor. It achieves high safety standards by introducing an alarming system in its high-voltage battery case, an automatic fire extinguisher and a high-voltage power cut-off device. With competitive power performance and reliability, the bus has been well received in many provinces across China, including Henan, Hunan, Shandong, Jilin, Hubei, and Shanxi.
At China’s Bus & Truck Expo held in May this year, Zhongtong LCK6809EVG won universal praises from the panel of experts and thus was awarded the Best City Bus of 2016.
