Summarize:CRRC TEV has already formed its strategic plan. By 2020, it will set up four major business sectors and aimed that the company will boast an annual sales volume of over 20,000 units new energy vehicles and 200,000 sets of power systems and key spare parts by then.

www.chinabuses.org: Statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) show that China’s production volume and sales volume of new energy vehicles reached 31,266 units and 31,772 units respectively in April this year, up by 178.3% and 190.6%. By 2020, China is aiming to increase the number of new energy vehicles to five million units. Blessed with such unprecedented development opportunities, CRRC is making all efforts to promote new energy vehicles.

In line with its parent company’s overall development strategy, Hunan CRRC Times Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd., also known as CRRC TEV has already formed its strategic plan. By 2020, it will set up four major business sectors, namely new energy large- and medium-sized buses, light buses, special vehicles, and powertains & key components. It is aimed that the company will boast an annual sales volume of over 20,000 units of new energy vehicles and 200,000 sets of powertains and key components by then.

Established in 2007, CRRC TEV has maintained a steady growing momentum ever since. Year 2016 is a new milestone in the history of the company. Its new production base project, located in Shijiazhuang in North China, officially went into construction this year. On May 10, 2016, the company, together with Shijiazhuang Municipal Government and Luancheng District jointly signed a strategic framework agreement for promoting new energy vehicles. After the completion of the project, the production base will be able to roll out 15,000 units new energy buses and other special vehicles each year.

IIn late April this year, CRRC TEV has formed New Energy Vehicle Industry Alliance with over ten enterprises in Hunan Province, aiming to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the vehicle industry in the province by restructuring their resources and complementing their strengths. In addition, CRRC TEV signed an agreement with a Canada-based Fuel Cell company-Loop Energy for jointly developing large-sized fuel cell vehicles for logistic services based on CRRC TEV’s powertrains.

Currently, the 12-meter duel-source duel-recharging electric bus made by CRRC TEV is able to drive 50 km continuously after being recharged in ten minutes. Such an impressive achievement has greatly eased the worries of many bus operators. In addition, the company’s T-Power electric driving system will soon roll out its fifth generation. By cutting its body weight by 30% and energy consumption by 50%, the new system is definitely going to raise the benchmark of China’s new energy vehicle industry to a much higher level.
