At the opening ceremony, Peng Dongqing, Deputy General Manager of Golden Dragon, points out that the tour is not only to publicize Fujian province with nationally competitive air and water quality as well as excellent natural environment, but it also aims at sending the message of protecting the environment and promoting green travel to the general public.
The first stop of the tour is Golden Dragon’s Haicang Enterprise Park. Journalists were invited to visit the bus maker’s production lines, vehicle long-distance monitoring center. They also took a ride on the buses with Euro VI Emission Standards which are soon to be exported to Israel.
As one of the pioneers in researching and developing new energy buses, Golden Dragon is a state-level hi-tech enterprise. Currently, equipped with a State-level Enterprise Technology Center and Fujian New Energy Vehicle Key Laboratory, it boasts a wide spectrum of new energy buses with a length from 4.7 meters to 12 meters and with drivelines ranging from plug-in hybrid to wholly electric. With a solid presence in over 40 cities in China, Golden Dragon has also successfully made its way to Taiwan and a number of developed countries, such as Netherland, Norway, and Finland.
