www.chinabuses.org: On 14th, Jan, 2016, Jiangsu Alfa Bus Co.,Ltd(located in Jiangyin,Jiangsu province) and AESC CO.,Ltd( located in Zama,Kanagawa) come to an agreement about li-ion battery supplying to electric bus. Senior managers from both paties attended the signing ceremony. This agreement shows that the first battery supplying is 30MWh, which can be used to 100 12-meter electric buses. Both parties expect to supply 900MWh li-ion battery until 2017, which can satisfy 3000 electric buses producing needs.
Alfa Bus is a specialized bus manufacturer, which began to develop electric bus from 2002, and has developed electric buses from 6 meter to 12 meter. It is the first company that has passed EU certification in China among electric bus manufacturers. At present, two types of 12-meter electric bus (two-door and three-door) have got EU certificate. After long time development and market application, Alfa Bus has mastered vehicle body design and manufacturing technology, which is vehicle lightweight technology. At the same time, it owns core technologies with independent intellectual property such as motor, electronic control, the motor controller can be compatible both asynchronous motor and permanent magnet motor, four in one multi-power vehicle control unit, vehicle intelligent remote control system has reached domestic and international advanced level. AESC was the first time to cooperate with a bus manufacturer. Alfa Bus matching AESC world advanced high performance li-ion battery will further improve electric bus comprehensive performance and competitive advantage, founding a stronger base for Alfa Bus new energy bus’s developing and expanding.
AESC is one of the biggest power battery manufacturers in the world build by Nissan and NEC. NEC began the power battery develop and producing 22 years ago. The li-ion battery system used on Nissan leaf (in China named Qicheng) has been sold morn than 200,000 sets, and never happen accident, realized high safety performance and distance. At present, AESC is supplied battery by Zama factory, NEC energy equipment company (located in sagamihara,kanagawa) has large production capacity of electrode. After 2017, NEC energy equipment Wujiang factory will be invested to speed up battery assembly and full producing in China, facing electric vehicle market in China.
Through the cooperation, Alfa Bus will be more safety and usable, trying hard to provide the best electric bus, best service, and most reliable brand to the market. At the same time, both parties promise they will continue to discuss the power battery’s application in stored energy field and plan to develop domestic and international market.
