In 2015, Foton sold 480,000 units whole body vehicles. Among them, the percentage of middle-end and high-end products was increased to 44% this year from 26% in 2014. With a market share of 17.2%, Foton maintained its No.1 position in the sales of China's commercial vehicle market.
In the field of light-duty commercial vehicles, Foton's overall sales volume reached 115,000 units. Aoling light-duty truck sold 78,000 units, up by 2.2% year on year. Thanks to the implementation of China's National IV Emission Standards, Aoling CTX grew by 30.3% year on year and Aoling TX soared by 39.2% year on year. The sales of the two types of vehicles combined account for 83% of Foton's sales of light-duty commercial vehicles. The sales volume of vans reached 37,000 units last year. The monthly sales volume of Toano, View G7 and MP-X E (a new version) all surpassed 500 units. The percentage of middle-end and high-end products rose to 63% this year from 35.3% last year, showing Foton has made new breakthroughs in restructuring its product line.
In 2015, Foton AUV sold over 8,000 units buses, up by over 35% year on year. Its sales volume of new energy buses totaled 3,342 units. Thus, the percentage of its new energy bus sales rose sharply, accounting for over 40% of its overall bus sales.
In 2016, Foton AUV aims to put over 10,000 buses on the road and half of them are new energy buses. In the next few years along with the expansion of Foton's business in cleaning and sanitation equipment and vehicles, Foton AUV aims at reaching an annual sales volume of 32,000 units, including 20,000 units buses and 12,000 units vehicles for cleaning and sanitation purposes.
