The deal made with Saudi Arabia is a major achievement in the overseas market after the integration of auto industries in Fuzhou and Xiamen. It not only made a new record in King Long’s overseas sales, but also ranked the top place among all industrial deals made in recent years in Fujian Province. In the meantime, it is also the biggest overseas deal made in China’s bus industry in 2015.
In early this year, the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia invited bids globally for purchasing school buses. Nearly 1,300 units Yuchai-equipped school buses have been ordered from Saudi Arabia, taking 90% of the bidding. To date, market presence of Yuchai engines has exceeded 15,000 units.
As a pioneer into Saudi Arabia market, Yuchai products have been highly recognized by customers by quality and brand image. In 2013, Yuchai won the largest export order at that time of 800 units from Saudi Arabia customer.
In Saudi Arabia Islam has the tradition for pilgrimage in every November. To cope with transport pressure during pilgrimage time, Yuchai adjusts strategy to conduct careful services together with local bus companies, solidifying Chinese brand in the Middle East market.
