“DIWA transmissions have been selected for their perfect combination of E300.1 control, ALADIN diagnosis software and our DIWA SmartNet telemetric system. It is the best solution, especially when bus transmissions have to withstand the demanding stop-and-go conditions in inner-city traffic”, said Mustafa Kas?ml?, Voith Turbo Commercial Vehicles Head of Region Eastern Europe - South.

The DIWA SmartNet is a telemetric system that allows monitoring the driveline online, though an internet portal. This system automatically evaluates transmission data, and informs the responsible vehicle manager if any irregularity is detected. This allows preventive maintenance, reduces downtimes and prevents the operator from unscheduled vehicle standstills.

The GPRS-transmitted data is analyzed by the diagnostic software Aladin. The operating and service data are recorded, classified and accumulated by the electronic control unit during the entire operation. Aladin presents data in clear, compact and ready-to-print reports. The data serves as a source of information about the vehicle and contributes significantly to optimized driving behavior, reduced operating costs and increasing availability.

“The modernization of the transport system in Baku and the renewal of the fleet of vehicles are projects that will develop the entire transport system and will contribute to a modern and efficient system,” stated Ziya Mammadov, Minister of Azerbaijani Transport in an interview. In total, over 250,000 buses are fitted with DIWA automatic transmissions from Voith worldwide.
