It is reported that bus route M375 in Shenzhen runs for 22.5 km for one-way trip. In its trial operation after being fully charged, Wuzhoulong electric bus powered by batteries from Boston can operate for twelve round trips in two days without air-conditioning and with a load of 2,700 kg. Then, after running for 268 km, the bus still has 25% energy left.
After over one year’s research and development, Wuzhoulong and Boston-based battery producer jointly developed 12-meter pure electric buses equipped with high-energy-density battery package made of ternary materials. With a total power of 245kwh and an energy density of 116wh/kg, the bus is theoretically capable of traveling over 400 km. While in operation under various road conditions, it can still working for over 360 km.
