By over 300 Cursor 8 and over 800 NEF 6 natural gas engines successfully installed in BJPT’s single buses, articulators and double-decker buses, emission of 60,000 private cars will be replaced. Among them, Cursor 8 natural gas engine is of in-line six-cylinder arrangement, 7.8L displacement, 213kW output power and 1,300Nm torsion. For the advanced technology and excellent performance, these public transport vehicles run in the downtown of Beijing. For an instance, 18-meter bus of Route 1 in the Tiananmen Square is just equipped with this engine.
NEF 6 natural gas engine, which is the same as Cursor 8 engine, is the best representative of FPT Industrial delicate design and excellent technology. This kind of natural gas engine is also of in-line six-cylinder arrangement, 5.9L displacement, 147kW top output power and 650Nm max torsion. These two kinds of engines apply multi-point injection system to ensure precise fuel injection and steady combustion in cylinders, and good performance. Compress natural gas controls operational cost efficiently, showing strong economic advantage. After proceeded in ternary catalysis, emission is highly reduced—PM 2.5 emission reduces over 97% compared with diesel engines, which is up to Euro EEV (Enhanced Environmentally friendly Vehicles)standard, highly above National 5 emission standard.
At the ceremony, products of FPT Industrial and Fiat Group are all over in the Italian Embassy, including engines of FPT Industrial, Iveco and New Holland. Present honored guests include Wang Chunjie, general manager of BJPT, Feng Xingfu, deputy general manager of BJPT, and Giovanni Bartoli, COO of FPT Industrial.
