In July 2012, Swedish courts announced that bankrupt manufacturer Saab has been sold to Sino-Japanese company National Electric Vehicle Sweden. The sale reportedly does not include transfer of the Saab name, which requires Saab AB and Scania AB's joint approval. Over the past year, a slew of companies have been vying to purchase the bankrupt manufacturer. Youngman Automobile was among them.

Youngman has engaged in close negotiations with Saab since last January. However, according to reports appearing today, the manufacturer officially confirmed that it has no interest in purchasing the company without acquiring the brand name. Youngman added that it will continue to closely monitor any further developments.Youngman Board Chairman Pang Qingnian lamented, "it is somewhat regrettable." However, he confirmed that his company had not lost anything.

Youngman's proposal to purchase German Viseon Bus gains government approval

In August 2012, Youngman Automobile proposal to acquire a 74.9 percent stake in German bus manufacturer Viseon has been officially approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.Youngman has already made a name for itself in Germany, Italy and other European countries with exports of Neoplan buses.

Youngman (former Jinhua Neoplan) cooperates with Neoplan and MAN and holds several licenses for the production of Neoplan bus and coach models for the Asian market. In addition, Youngman manufactures licensed trucks and cars.

"If the products are 100% made in China, even if they are made by European technology, they are still difficult to export to Europe. But if they are manufactured in Europe, it is more easily to sell them out. " Qinnian Pang Said.

So, Young Automotive will integrate the Neoplan technology into its buses to create the semi-finished bus products in China, then they will be transported to Germany for assembling the automotive engine, the gearbox and axle.

Youngman to introduce new energy vehicle technology by end of 2012, CEO says

In August 2012, Youngman Automobile will enter the new energy market by the end of the year, citing a statement made by founder and CEO Pang Qingnian. "Youngman's new energy vehicle technology has already in the testing phase," Mr. Pang said. "Once it is ready for widespread use, [we] will make an announcement, which according to our plans should be within this year."

Mr. Pang further explains the situation of Youngman's new energy vehicle projects. "Looking at the results of our current technological experiments, regardless of whether judging safety or convenience, our products are superior." "We may help usher in a new energy revolution," he confidently stated. However, Mr. Pang refused to comment on specific details, saying only that the technology was entirely independently researched and developed.
