www.chinabuses.org: Correspondent recently learned that Beiqi’s own new energy company, Beijing Automobile New Energy Co., Ltd, has registered in industrial and commercial bureau and it will found early November.

It is revealed that the company is responsible for research, development and sales of Beiqi new energy vehicles and key spare parts; and the base will be located in Daxing Caiyu Development Zone aiming at pure electric vehicles, and the plant is under construction.

According to program, Beiqi will focus on commercial vehicles, including large bus, taxi and Beiqi Luba SUV and Beijing 701 cab model, then gradually develop pure electric sedans.

It’s learned that Beiqi has got breakthrough in many key new energy technologies, including independent developed hybrid and pure electric vehicles etc complete vehicle control technique, and they have mastered DCM power assembly system, OE large bus hybrid system, EVT continuously variable transmission, meanwhile they have developed VCU for new energy vehicles and their production capability will achieve 100,000 units by 2011.
