15 Dongfeng Tianyi Pure Electric Buses Roll Off

English.chinabuses.com:The first batch of 15 Dongfeng Tianyi pure electric buses rolled off production line from Dongfeng Touring Car Co., Ltd in Xiangfan on October 10, 2009 and the buses will be delivered to Tangshan in Hebei Province and Xiangfan in Hubei Province. It is reported that the bus can run as long as 200 km per charge with up to 80 km per hour.

Dongfeng Touring Car Co., Ltd, located in the high and new technology industrial development zone of Xiangfan, became the first domestic censored hybrid and pure electric bus manufacturer. The new generation of pure electric bus-Dongfeng Tianyi is their third generation of pure electric bus and also only domestic pure electric bus adopted integrated design. The bus realized integrated matching of pure electric bus and high range public transport buses with 17 electric bus patents. Currently the bus has finished vehicular operation as long as 12,000 km, achieving energy saving and emission reduction goal of zero pollution, zero defect and low noise.
In accordance with earlier reports, Xiangfan Dongfeng Touring Car Co., Ltd has been working to achieve yearly output of 100,000 pure electric big buses and 500,000 pure electric sedans in five to ten years.
