In the afternoon of May 19, the delivery ceremony of 170 BRT city buses used for Zhengzhou’s BRT（Bus Rapid Transit）was held in Tengfei Square, Yutong Industrial Park. While Tang Yuxiang, president of Yutong Group handed the “golden key” representing the BRT buses to Ba Zhengdong, general manger of Zhengzhou Public Transport Corporation, it marks that the construction of Zhengzhou’s BRT has made significant progress and Zhengzhou citizens can travel by high-end BRT buses.

     
The 170 luxury BRT city buses delivered this time include 65 unit 18-meter articulated buses and 105 unit 12-meter low floor city buses. Both of these two models are currently the highest level models of city buses and are especially tailed for the BRT bus stations in Zhengzhou, taking into account the actual road situation, passenger loading capacity, etc., of which, the 18-meter buses can carry 200 passengers at most, which can effectively relieve traffic congestion in Zhengzhou’s public transportation. Since some of the roads are relative narrow, the buses are designed with kneeling function which can on the one hand ensure a easy turning in the city, on the other hand reduce the inertial impact on passengers while turning, reflecting that BRT buses are faster and more user-friendly. Meanwhile, the development of BRT will greatly ease the traffic pressure in Zhengzhou.
