On Apr. 22, 2009, the much publicized China Beijing International Exhibition on Buses, Trucks & Components (also known as Beijing Bus & Truck Expo for short) officially opened its curtain to the public at Beijing Exhibition Center. Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. (Kinglong for short) made a grand show by exhibiting its eight new bus & coach models, which attracted great public and media attention.
As a majority of domestic mainstream bus & coach builders were absent at the just closed 2009 Busworld Asia in Shanghai, both the public and bus & coach building industry have switched their attention to the current expo in Beijing.

Covering an exhibition area of 800 square meters, Kinglong has occupied almost half of Hall No.12. Divided into customer reception area, product display area, Kinglong put its eight different bus & coach models neatly in its theme square.
According to an staff with Kinglong Brand Management Center, the scale of the company’s display is unprecedented compared with some recent exhibitions it attended. Moreover, the products on display have covered the whole range of bus & coach products measuring from six to eighteen meters long, including highway passenger transport coach, tourist coach, new type of suburban coach, new energy bus, VIP luxury country coach, inter-village bus and light-duty coach. Moreover, the bus & coach builder has made some breakthroughs in some market segments.

To fully embrace the era of new energy bus & coach, Kinglong has set up extensive cooperative ties with Tsinghua University, Jilin University, and Hunan University. Moreover, it has partnered with a host of internationally famed parts & accessories manufacturers in R&D and design of new products.
Strictly speaking, XMQ6125G9 is not a new model as it once served in Beijing Olympic Games and has been put into use in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. However, it has been well received by the public. At the public bidding held by Beijing Public Transport Group, 20 units XMQ6125G9 won the bid, accounting for one third of the transport company’s total purchasing volume.

At the expo, its XMQ6520 light-duty coach and XMQ5030 Multi-functional cargo vehicle are making their first appearance to the public.
Also on the display are two luxury coaches, namely XMQ6996VIP luxury tourist coach and XMQ6120C suburban coach mounted with Euro V compliant engine. Thanks to its superbly stylish look and spacious interior, the two models are particularly eye-catching and boast all the travel amenities that passengers could possibly imagine.
XMQ6752 is another bus model worth noting. Apart from its elegant appearance, the bus is equipped with the state-of-art technologies and is targeted at the third-tier urban sub-routes and rural passenger transport.
